As adults, we sometimes forget that our children can get physically strained. Especially from being physically active with extracurricular sports activities. That's not to say that children don't feel physical strain from anxiety or other everyday stressors. However, keeping your young champ in tip top shape rather they're in football or ballet, it is especially imperative to keep their young muscles malleable to reduce injury. Physical Therapy and Chiropractic work both can also be helpful to young sports as long as the physical manipulation of muscles are not left out of their treatments. Massage, ideally should be performed a couple of hours or less, before chiropractic adjustments. Anatomically speaking, bone follows muscle. If the bone/vertebrae is out of place, somewhere along the line the muscle pulled it out of alignment. We must address the muscle first and foremost to aid in its release, helping any chiropractic adjustments benefit the young client, or any age client, longer.
